Stampede at Bandra Terminus: Nine Injured Ahead of Diwali Rush
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the stampede was caused by a rush of passengers due to the upcoming Diwali festival.
The injured include Shabhir Abdul Rehman (40), Parmeshwar Sukhdar Gupta (28), and Ravindra Harihar Chuma (30).
At least nine people were injured in a stampede at Mumbai’s Bandra Terminus station early this morning. The incident occurred at 5:56 am on platform number 1.
It took place just before the Bandra-Gorakhpur Express was scheduled to depart.
The injured were quickly taken to Bhabha Hospital. They are currently receiving treatment.

Seven of the injured are in stable condition. However, two others sustained critical injuries.

Others are Ramsevak Ravindra Prasad Prajapati (29), Sanjay Tilakram Kangay (27), Divyanshu Yogendra Yadav (18), Mohammad Shareef Shaikh (25), Indrajith Sahani (19), and Noor Mohammad Shaikh (18).
As Train No. 22921 arrived at Platform 1 from Bandra to Gorakhpur, a large crowd gathered to board, causing a stampede.
Footage from the scene shows blood on the platform as Railway Police and bystanders helped the injured onto stretchers.
In one video, a Railway officer is seen carriying an injured passenger on his shoulder.
Another video clip shows two men lying on the platform with bloodstained clothes.
In the same video, another man sits on a bench with a torn shirt.
